@jesuitmusicministry: Pope Francis opens the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican to mark the opening of the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. A Jubilee Year, traditionally proclaimed by the Universal Church every 25 years, is a special year set aside to encourage the faithful to embark on pilgrimages, to repent of their sins and forgive the sins of others, and to renew a focus on the spiritual life.
