Capital one was 5% when I opened it last year. Just checked and it’s now 3.8% 🫤 easy to open and use though, especially since I use them for credit cards

Some of the HYSA don’t offer debit cards; if you have to take your money out quickly for an emergency, you can only do an electronic transfer & that can take a day or 2. So be sure to check this

I loooooove ally. The “buckets” make saving for goals or sinking funds so much easier. I schedule a xfer every Friday, and distribute to the buckets. It’s a great way to save.

So the rates can change even after you open it? It’s not a fixed rate?

Some HYSAs have withdrawal limits - usually so many times in a month. If you go with a credit union, they will be insured by the NCUA instead of the FDIC, so don’t let that scare you. 💕

All of my banking is currently through a credit union- they have a high yield savings option. Is there a downfall to going w a credit union vs a big bank?

Love it. I’ve been Wealthfront at 4.25% APY. It went down but they all did.
