@solargoat: Exposing the issue in the solar industry (part 2) 25 year warranties are “fake warranties”. A lot of other industries have extremely long warranties on there products. I see this as merely a way to build a false confidence to the customer that the product was made to last a long time. This is specifically used in the solar industry to “sell the product”. I’ve been really frustrated trying to warranty products that are over 5-25 years old not just because the manufacturers are hard to work with but also because the technology has changed so much in the last year the new parts are not compatible.
