I have a slightly easier method. Use pre-ground coffee like cafe bustelo. Don’t bother with pre-boiling the water, and put the pot on the lowest temperature above simmer

I started using this technique and the coffee is much better but: there is always water left in the base. So a 6 cup only makes 4, etc. comments?

boiling water in the base is pointless, annoying and doesn’t save any time regardless because you’re waiting on a kettle and have to get up twice just to put hot water from one container to another
