Because disabilities are not always visible. Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. In 2019, the UN launched the Disability Inclusion Strategy to lead by example and raise the standards on disability inclusion within its own organization. There is still a lot of work to be done to create inclusive workplaces, and for others to follow. Some things you can do are: - Listen to persons living with disabilities about their experiences and insights - Learn about how to support them - Make information, content, projects, and spaces accessible to persons with disabilities - Facilitate inclusive work cultures - For those in leadership positions in workplaces: create anti-discrimination policies
