I grew up in care and that allowance usually includes toiletries etc some ppl are Vile . ppl need to remeber is it necessary is true is it kind.

I was in care. I would personally give all the allowance back of i had the choice of a decent childhood. In my 30's now and I'm still suffering from childhood trauma.

£120 it’s a personal allowance and purely matches child benefit for the oldest child ! These children have lost homes siblings etc sometimes everything

My foster teens are always kitted out! Each month we would pick one or two bits from JD and the rest they could get what they wanted in primark (their choice), I would always add to it for the extras

I was in care for a short spell of my teens (my fault I was inruley) and I was fortunate to have foster parents that paid for us out of their pockets to go on holidays, buy us clothes etc.
