We r doing the same! Built in tubs only. free standing make me think “flipper house” or design w/o functionality. I want a ledge to sit on, set a wine glass, sit while washing babies/dog, etc…

I love the look of free standing tubs but the built in is probably more functional. I would probably just use a little stool next to free standing
