How many people talk about his personality, his beliefs, or his backstory? Unfortunately, not many. Satoru Gojo is so much more than his striking looks or extraordinary powers. I admire him for who he is as an individual, a rebellious, unconventional thinker who challenges the status quo. He refuses to follow outdated, arbitrary rules and instead strives to create a world of capable, intelligent sorcerers while protecting innocent lives. What stands out most to me is his selflessness. Gojo willingly sacrifices himself to protect his students and friends, placing Yuta and Yuji’s lives above his own. He doesn’t blindly accept a death sentence for young, innocent boys, nor does he look at situations through a narrow lens. Instead, he delves deeper, empathizes with others, and refuses to accept injustice. Gojo doesn’t respect authority blindly. He respects intelligence, merit, and integrity. What I find truly compelling is how he balances humor and seriousness. Despite being the strongest, he’s not immune to life’s struggles. Beneath his playful and confident exterior, there is a human being who carries his own burdens. Gojo’s character development throughout the story further showcases his open-mindedness and ability to grow and change for the better. Many people overlook these aspects of Satoru Gojo, dismissing him as a shallow, one dimensional character.
