Never met anybody that seemed worth it! I think Toby was ahead of the times in so many respects. I bet there are many who would agree that a dog can bring more joy than many human relationships.

So many things here that many people still don’t understand today — the existence of nonbinary folks, being asexual, and being aromantic. It’s a little less taboo now versus then, but not much better.
