In one comic, it's the future and there are "factions" of human/mutankind. Those that look like nightcrawler, collosus, and whoever else bc over time those abilities became dominant. Pretty cool idea

Nightcrawler makes perfect sense. His mom mystique can manipulate her genetic code, and she made a custom genome using information from her (blue), Azazel (teleporting), and Destiny (???)

I mean with Magnetos kids they just tap into different fields of energy. magneto is electro magnetism, Sacrlet witch is that one chaos thing, and Quicksilver is probably time based.

The original mutants did not have a plan of lineage , the twins weren’t original made to be children of magneto. Just retcon , lineage was only determined to be a thing in the 80’s
