I’m not sure what people thought the cops should do? She was obviously dead with that much flames. Nothing would change that. The real problem is illegals and mentally ill running the streets

I would have taken off my jacket and tried to smother the flames, but I don’t think it really would have mattered. I certainly don’t blame the cops. I do blame the governor and mayor though

...should probably be an extinguisher in every car. I only saw the 2 or 3 officers walking around doing "nothing." Thanks for explaining that other officers were looking for extinguishers.

I think they could have done more but so could have all the people standing there recording the incident. They could have used their jackets to smoother the flames and/or got her to the floor.

Negative.. those orders are a minimum. No one will ever be reprimanded for going above and beyond. Any officer should be able to multitask by manning radio AND using their jacket to suppress flames. No one up the food chain can spoon feed you directives for every scenario
