A real Mother’s Day - Sometimes, we get these hallmark expectations of perfection - nobody argues, you don’t lift a finger, time stops for the day to celebrate you being a mother, gifts, flowers, chocolates, etc. but that’s not always the reality. The day isn’t always cleared of schedules. The kids may still cry. You may have to clean up after breakfast is made for you. All your kids may not smile perfectly for your photo. One that is easily taken for granted during the mundane. When my kids are grown, I assure you that the perfect mother’s days won’t be the days I’ll remember and neither will you. It’ll be the ordinary moments that will continue to live in your heart. It’ll be Sunday afternoon snuggles & giggles, it’ll be the tossing the ball back & forth in the backyard, it’ll be the messy kitchen dance parties while cooking dinner.
