Are the useless boots just unique to Caravans? I've seen small feeder Queen Air cargo planes also land with a LOT of ice here in MN. Or are the boots just not very good across the board?

I've heard that the boots on the caravan are crap but why is that? and before you say boots suck, the ones on the PC-12 work just fine

Parasite drag. Not induced. Suggest not pushing the WX. The Caravan has many areas it accumulates ice that you as the pilot can’t see or effect.

The caravan is the only airplane that has an AD for the PILOT. You have to have icing training before entering icing conditions annually.

Icing confuse the hell out of me. I see people saying a couple granules of frost on the wings will keep the plane from taking off. Then I see vids of people flying with chunks of ice on the wings
