@heavy_haul_n_fool: #stitch with @Dave's Auto Center man I know it’s not the most popular opinion, but you guys are taking what he’s saying out of context and just trying to get views. Let’s be honest you guys know I’m right you don’t need to warm it up in most places obviously there are some extremes. #davesautocenter #warmup #mechanicsoftiktok
Apples to oranges Teddy you’ve got to listen to the entirety of the video. Some of it is correct some of it is incorrect.

Idling is bad for the dpf. Just let it idle for 30 seconds and baby it til it’s warm

It is all about the DPF…he is speaking about that. Anyone who knows anything about after treatment understands what he was saying.

How do you warm a vehicle up before starting it?

Remote car starters can be installed for a few hundred dollars, and then your car is warm and the frost/ice is gone.

Literally seconds it takes. Once the pressure gauge goes up oil is everywhere it needs to be. Like changing oil you don’t need to run 5-10 mins before checking the level it takes seconds

Just use isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle for a frosty windshield works like a charm

On a semi truck I’d definitely let her run for at least a couple minutes to build oil temp .especially with a high load
