SNOW'S canned clam chowder has always been my favorite!! Bar Harbor is really good too. It's always rated higher than Snow's, but for whatever reason, my second fave. I very much dislike Campbells.

Progresso Clam chowder. It’s gluten free free . I’m celiac so all I can eat. But very good. Howard Johnson’s was always the best

Does cooking the clams for 15 minutes make them tough? When I do homemade I add them last and cook for 3-4 mins.

For canned clam chowder, Campbell chunky is very good. I've never liked anything by Progressive

I use those as a base. I then add chicken, cream, extra veggies, sometimes rice. I’ve never made the clam chowder one though I stick with the chicken ones, but people swear it’s homemade.😂😂😂
