You did not need to go into debts! Cut some extra expenses like Uber/uber eat, subscriptions, a few less night out, a cheaper gym.. it’s worth it. Those 1k will add up quickly

I’m also under employed in NYC/ he’s probably not reporting the 1099 income. I was earning $200-$300 a week in side hustles and reported everything, and my unemployment $ was cut to $350 a week max
