@captainkatemccue: The emotions since losing Bug are something I've never experienced. The gaping hole in my chest feels like a void that can never be filled. The guilt from the uncertainty that I cut her life short is overwhelming. Then comes the wave of rage at the unfairness of it all. The immense sadness that takes over every time I think of the love she gave. And it's all the time. The loss of someone who has shared your journey, walked beside you, and been there through the good and the bad feels like more than I can bear. And then there's gratitude for having something in my life that brought the purest joy every single time I looked at her. I see her everywhere. In her favorite fluffy blanket on the couch, at the door to greet me and remind me it's meal time, coming to find me if I take too long getting ready in the bathroom, lounging in the most sunlit spot... I think of her when I turn off the light, expecting her to hop into bed beside me and settle into her favorite place, only to wake up with her snuggled against my face. To say I miss you, @BugNaked is not enough. 💔
