I have a 19 month old and so far what’s worked is we will make what we know he likes and eat with him allow him to try anything on our plate he shows an interest in so he doesn’t feel that pressure

Totally agree. If my daughter refuses anything I just say ok and that’s that. No pressure. She will usually then take a bite eventually. ☺️

thank you! I’m going to try this. Pretty much every meal aside from certain meals it’s a solid I don’t like it. He eats good at daycare, so I know he tries it and does eat it.

I just make boards with all the foods everyday and let him “decide” what he wants to eat and he ends up eating most and trying almost all things. It works awesome!

This is my 4yo sons thing - he will eat bfast and lunch totally fine… but when he sees his dinner plate (even w foods I KNOW he will like) he will throw an immediate fit. Screaming, crying, yelling for 15+ mins. None of us can talk over him or enjoy dinner. We excuse him from the table. But he’ll still cry and still disturb us eating. Then at bedtime he says he’s hungry. So he goes and eats his (now cold) dinner still at the table just fine…… Dinner has been a fight for over the last year. I’ve tried literally everything I can think of.
