I would stick a screwdriver or prybar inbetween the rotor and the pads before you remove anything. It still holds the caliper and your able to put some leverage behind it and really open it up

1 that's not a caliper bracket it's a caliper 2 when you use a C-clamp you put an old pad between the piston and clamp everybody knows this. 🤦♂️
