Can a pilot break this down for me? I feel like I’ve seen plenty of planes land without gear. They usually get rerouted to the longest runway or something and that looked super super short.

It would be fine with one engine. It looks like a hydraulic failure. No flaps, slats or gear. But the gear can be manually extended. This doesn’t add up. Plus he set it down 2/3 down the runway.

This does not add up. The plane can fly just fine with one engine. There is more to this. Perhaps massive failure of all the hydraulic systems resulting in diminished flight controls or massive pilot error/incompetence 🤔

There’s a lot more behind the crash guys that still needs to come out. Bird strike has nothing to do with the hydraulics. Even if it did damage the hydraulics the plane is rerouted to burn all fuel and than land at the lowest speed. This is bizarre.

just a bird strike? must be doing at least 300kph there with no flaps, spoilers, slats, speedbrakes etc. deployed. gear at least can be dropped using gravity. the crash makes no sense.

all airports should have way more runoff space than they do. also, some sort of net arrestor system at the end of the runway. this seems like there would have been no deaths had it not run into a wall

the were here iis ,even if you have engine failure you have hyd to put landing gear down or in other case is possible by emergency way . what happens after landing 🤔?

there was no way he could shoot down a bird such a big plane, the problem was different, he had to be able to stop it even if it only had one engine, it was an error of the pilots, for sure !
