Want to skip the wait? 👇 Have you been to Lannan Bakery before? Before we tell you our opinion, there IS a way to skip the wait. You can order online and walk right in at your scheduled time. That said, when we tried to do this, it only gave us options that were after our departure date (~2 days away). So you do need to plan ahead. Here’s what we thought about our experience: 1. We don’t want to wait an hour for anything. Especially when we’re on vacation and our time is limited 2. Some of the bites we had were INCREDIBLE!!!!! Maybe best bakery bites we’ve ever tried. So we’re torn. It’s really a matter of what’s important to you and how much time you have to spare. Here’s what we ordered and our thoughts (in order of how life changing they were): Malted Chocolate, Coffee & Rye: It’s like if you shoved a Chocolate Cake inside of a Croissant. Dan hasn’t stopped talking about it. Salted Pistachio, Raspberry & Tonka: Alicia’s favorite bite. Perfectly balanced and the raspberry was the most surprising and exciting part for her. Cardamom Bun: This has to be the most talked about item across social media. Everyone is like OMG you gotta get it. Well it turns out if you aren’t a huge fan of Cardamom, it’s not going to be all that exciting (our bad 😂). The flavor was a miss for us but the textures were excellent. They have a Cinnamon Bun that probably woulda been a home run for us (not sure what the Scottish equivalent of home run is). Beremeal & Panela Caramel Shortbread: we got this because “Millionaire Shortbread” was recommended to us as a Must Try in Scotland and we thought this looked similar? It was very good and very rich. A bit too rich for our blood to be honest but that’s more personal preferences. If we went back, we’d go for the Custard Slice instead. What are your favorite bites there? Also, if you’re wondering why there is a clip of Alicia in Dean Village, which isn’t really by the Bakery at all, it’s because I love her so much and thought she looked cute. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s only like a 20 min walk from there and it’s picturesque af #edinburghbakery #thingstodoinedinburgh #datenightuk #worththehype #scotlandtourist
