Be careful if you try these 🙅♂️ 🥵 Keep in mind I’m only using 15’s! They’re very challenging and most people will be creaky and tight at first! 📈 You can even start doing them with only the weight of your arms, before you grab the lightest dumbbells possible and work your way up. ☝️ Once you switch exercises start over with the lightest weight. 🔁 I’ve found that typical rotational work would not place my rotator cuff into a sufficient stretch. 🍃 But by laying down with a dumbbell and letting gravity do the work I was able to find the stretch I was looking for. ↕️ By moving the dumbbell up and down I was able to stimulate different areas of my rotator cuff which haven’t been touched before. 🤕 These muscles are not normally strengthened, nor are they fully stretched, which leaves them tight, weak and vulnerable. 💪 These exercises in combination with my pec mobility training (have an earlier video) have helped keep my shoulder joint strong and healthy over all these years 😁 🏗️ I’ve always done these on a flat bench, but I feel more tension with the incline. Pull Up vs. Lat Pulldowns 🤔 🗺️ Fostering a sense of adventure something I don’t see prioritised very often, and can probably have a big impact on your success on a program. 🤞 If I go into the gym, do a bunch of exercises and cross my fingers that it’s enough to grow and get stronger. 😔 And I have no feedback or sense of accomplishment along the way, 🤷♂️ I’m probably going to have a harder time staying motivated. 📊 Whereas if I’m chasing a goal and need to learn multiple different progressions and movements to work my way towards that goal, 😤 I’m going to be a lot more engaged and I’ll end end accomplishing a greater breadth of benefits. 🏆 Each workout, down to each exercise should serve a greater purpose and push you towards something that’s difficult to attain. 🏋️♂️ Exercises like powerlifting movements, calisthenic movements and more complex technical exercises do exactly this. 👊 If you front load each workout with exercises like these you can always follow them up with exercises like the lat pulldown later in the workout. 😅 Try not to miss out on a cool ass adventure by subbing out an exercise like the pull up 🫶 ‼️ I’ll have many progressions just like these pull ups available in my program coming soon! 🫡 #pullup #pullups #onearmpullup #calisthenics #back #lats #backworkout #latpulldown
