I’m not satisfied with the decision. 1k for deductible is fine but what about the increase in the car owner’s insurance premiums. His insurance is going to go up a bit because of of someone else’s dog

If the tesla was parked it would be a comprehensive claim. Would his insurance go up after this claim probably not, would using his insurance make a carfax show damage to the tesla yes

I don’t think he wanted to use his insurance to avoid getting the damage on the car fax. If he goes through insurance rather than pay out of pocket costs, now the accident, minor or not will affect the value of the car down the line. Don’t know why he didn’t say that.
