I suffer of fibromyalgia, 3 back surgeries, working on 4th. Live with constant pain. Totally agree with you. I’m always left having to explain myself monthly.

I think it's important to distinguish between dependencyvs addicted..you are dependent but not addicted you would definitely feel awful if you quit taking it..you can be dependent on heart meds also

100%. People think that us with Chronic pain ate just "getting high" when that "High" never cones because our pain out weighs our medication.

I don’t understand why after major surgery, knee replacement, I have to call the office every 6 days to get my pain meds refilled. Yes I still need it. Hello it’s only week 3!!

I’ve suffered with chronic back pain for over 15 years , ruptured discs and scoliosis , and it’s always been so hard to get pain medication, now I just suffer in pain cuz docs won’t prescribe it

Same here. I’ve had 4 neck surgeries, degenerative disc disease, arthritis in my spine, 2 bulging disc in lower back, go to doctor once a month and take pain medicine every day. I need it.

I have Becker's muscular dystrophy. and when I go to my doctor's she always talks about taking me off of it. she don't like writing them even tho I've been on them for 7 years 😔

I have a neck fracture, severe stenosis, RA, and fibromyalgia. Every doctor I’ve seen has refused to prescribe opiates, so I’m stuck w gabapentin which sort of works
