the peanut butter on the head trick can be really dangerous. i would recommend starting with a scratch pad or using a dremel until both of you are feeling more comfortable.

My oldest hates nail trims! She had a bad experience at a dog groomers in a store and it was hard to do her nail trims after that! Luckily her doggy daycare can clip her nails!

from a dog groomer try doing it with a dremel start slow some dogs after nail trauma prefer the grinder over the pressure of the nail clippers

My dog ALWAYS hates trims. We got him at 1.5 and he hated them. We now have the vet do it while he’s sedated cuz it’s impossible lol

I do one nail at a time in my room and give him a treat between and let him get his crazies out and call him back, he does better with having a break after each nail less stress on him!

Get him a dog scratch pad it helps maintain the nails without always having to cut them . It like files them

I have this issue with my 2. I haven’t tried the peanut butter trick. But I do get the training treats, and when they allow me to cut 1 nail, I give them one treat. Works like a charm!
