The poor don’t need the rich, but the rich absolutely need the poor. Without a growing population creating scarcity, capital will decline in value. They may even have to work for a living.

The birthrate issue is very simple: the working-class, accross the world, can't afford to have kids. They can't have kids because Elon Musk was worth 2 billions in 2013 and 437 billions in 2024.

We had a house full of cats and dogs this holiday season. I was fully expecting grandkids at this point of my life but I don't blame the kids for not having any 🤷🏼♀️

it's already happening in rural areas. they just choose to not to see it. In the last 10 years my town has lost half it's employers because they couldn't fill positions. 2 mfg, 1 clinic, most retail

He never talks about job replacement with AI though, even though we know ~40% of jobs will go away within the next few decades. Why do we need more people if there will be less jobs?

My parents paid for there house in 1974 for 12,000 and we grew up in it. We all poor now. Its sad. The rich get richer. No one should be a billionaire.
