Can I make a color realism eyeball with just two colors? The colors I used WITHOUT pre mixing anything is lipstick red (eternal), solid gold (eternal), black (Allegory) and white (Allegory) This challenge really put my color theory and color mixing skills to the test! I always work with a limited palette when I tattoo but l’ve never done anything THIS limited before. It was a really fun and insightful challenge. In painting, this color pallet is called the Zorn pallet. The secret of how I got the blue iris is... a lot of black is just a really dark blue, or has slight blue undertones! And since a color is only a color depending on the color next to it- when used next to such warm skin tones, the eye appears even MORE blue.
