The best advice I can give is learn how to oil and clean your machine. And if you sew every day, clean it out and oil it every day. It makes a huge difference in stitch quality. Also, frequent needle

Just a heads up, you should only turn the dial towards you instead of away, apparently it can causes some issues :) awesome progress!! I’m about 6 months into my sewing journey

I got mine yesterday and immediately tried to sew a shirt and failed haha but I did in fact mend and alter 3 shirts successfully!! Sewing is absurdly fun

heads up, keep your feet well away from the pedal when threading the needle. I always turn my machine off when I do it but keeping your feet away works just as well
