I get so many questions asking how I weaned emily onto solids saying things like “my baby wont eat that much” or “im too scared my baby will choke” and honestly, same. Weaning can be so scary but it can also be so fun and a great experiance for both mum and baby! The honest truth is, no, your baby probably wont eat everything you give them! At this age the main reason for giving them food in the first place is to learn how to eat, to learn about tastes and textures and how to feed themselves. Babies actually only need breast milk/ formula up until they are 1! Everything else is just to help them learn. So dont panic if you offer your baby food and they dont eat it all, or even if they dont touch it at all! The main thing is you offered it and gave your child that experience, and as they get older they will gradually pick up more and more skills and preferences.
