❗️Here’s the thing… I do enjoy holiday decor 🎄, HOWEVER I try to keep it fairly simple in our home. I’ve learnt over the years that a lot of decorating (for ME) overwhelms me and causes me unnecessary stress. So 2 years ago, I took a look at everything we had and I paired it down to the items I loved and actually used. Everything else I donated. 📦 It is a total personal choice on how and IF you choose to decorate for the holidays. Nothing wrong with going all out OR keeping it minimal. But I’ve found there are 5 staple holiday items that I use year after year that you can do SO much with! I’ve invested in some good quality pieces and I look forward to using them year after year. I don’t feel the need to change up my decor or add a lot more since I truly love what I have. So here are 5 TIMELESS items that if you invest in, you’ll be able to use for years and years to come: 👇🏻 1️⃣. Mini Wreaths : these are great if you don’t have a lot of space to decorate, work on doors, chairs, etc and are easy to store. 2️⃣. Velvet Bows 🎀 / Ribbon 🧵 : Grab some bows or a spool of ribbon and use it for your tree, mantle, wreaths, etc 3️⃣. Linen Stockings: grab some classic well made stockings you’ll love for years to come 4️⃣. Garland: the good options sell EARLY. They aren’t cheap so slowly collect them over the years. 5️⃣. Brass Bells: these can be used all over and are a classic/timeless piece. Next up: holiday storage solutions 😉 @melb_lifeandhome #timelessdesign #simpleholiday #simpleholidaydecor #christmas #christmasdecor #christmastree #christmasdecorideas #canadiandecor #canadianblogger #simplehome #simplechristmas #simplechristmasdecor #simpletree
