It’s not about going lighter I think you might be misunderstanding that. You still want to go heavy but you need control and full ROM. Doing half reps with a full stack isn’t doing anything

Everything is relative my guy. Proximity to failure, deep stretch, and controlled eccentric are important. You’d probably need 40 reps to fail with those lighter weights, that’s what makes them bad

I do both u can go heavy as long as ur form is decent at least to where u feel the targeted muscle working and get a pump seeing progression along with that I mostly go heavy tho bc that is what causes growth and works for me better
