If chia seeds make you bloated, KEEP READING👇🏾 Chia seeds are packed with fiber and nutrients, BUT if you’re not using them right… they will bloat you up, been there and done that.  If that’s happening to you, try these tips: 💥 1. Let Them Soak First.  Chia seeds absorb up to 10x their weight in water, and if you eat them dry or only semi-soaked, they’ll expand in your stomach, leading to bloating or discomfort. Fix: Let them soak in water, juice, or plant milk for at least 30-45 minutes (or overnight if possible). That gives them time to form a gel and be easier on your digestion. 💧 2. Increase Your Water Intake Because chia seeds are so high in fiber, they need plenty of water to move through your system. Not drinking enough water can lead to bloating, constipation, or gas. Fix: Drink at least a full glass of water with every chia-containing meal or drink throughout the day. 🥄3. Start With a Small Amount If your gut isn’t used to that much fiber, chia can be a shock to your system. Fix: Start with 1 teaspoon per day, and slowly work up to 1–2 tablespoons as your body adjusts. 4. Blend It Into Juices or Smoothies When chia seeds are blended into a juice or smoothie, they’re easier to digest and less likely to cause bloating. Fix: Add your soaked chia to smoothies or juice recipes I’ve got some fire recipes if you want them! 5.Know When to Skip It If you’ve done all the above and still feel bloated, your body might just not vibe with chia seeds and that’s okay. There are other superfoods like flax seeds, hemp seeds, or psyllium husk that offer similar benefits. But also, let’s be real, If chia seeds make you bloated, you might have some digestive issues as well.  When that happens to me, I drink more water and take inventory of what else I ate and adjust as needed. I get bloated easily, reason why I started juicing in the first place.
