@rich.trails: The word Strine (an old English Term) - “the meeting of water “ @thestrinesinn - a stunning Inn on the edge of the Peak District connecting Bradfield and the A57 into Ladybower - The Strines Inn was originally a manor house built in 1275. Over the years it was extended and eventually converted into an inn in 1771. The word ‘strine’ is an Old English term for the meeting of water, which is appropriate as the inn overlooks the nearby Strines Reservoir. It's 10 miles outside of the Peak District National Park so definitely not the oldest inn in the Peak 😋 looks pretty cool though 😁
