It’s also interesting the project takes place when mostly local residents are present, finishing right before the biggest tourist event (Mardi Gras) on March 4th. Save the tourists I guess.

the mayor's office stated they were being removed to make them ready for the Superbowl. Also, the bollards that will be installed before the Superbowl will not be the strongest/effective bollards

my mama is a crossing guard and she works some big events...where she helps police close off streets. Police often park a car to help them keep them closed.
