God put this verse on my heart recently because it relates to my situation right now, so i feel its only right to share it because i know im not the only one. It can be very hard to learn to let someone go when God makes it clear to you that its not meant for you anymore… but phillipians 4:13 says i can do all things through christ who strengthens me. Mark 10:29 is a reminder that we are in fact NOT alone and that our father will give back to us what we had to let go of or “sacraficed” for him, not once, not multiplied, but 100 times as much/many/better. If you have laid your life down to Christ you should know that you CANNOT live with one foot in the dark and the other in the light, you become a new person in christ, your old life is GONE and a new life has BEGUN! (2 Corinthians 5:17). PROVE by the way that you live, the way you carry yourself and represent yourself as a jesus follower that you repented and that your eyes are only fixed on the heavely things not the earthly things.(Matthew 3:8). My life has changed dramatically in such a short amount of time. Obviously the hurt is still there, but the outcome is so worth it. Never let the love/lust you have for someone be stronger that/ pull you away from the everlasting love our God provides. He is SO GOOD and will not let us stumble. Letting go of my fleshly desires was the hardest thing i had to do, and even after practicing these things it doesnt mean i dont fall short or am “perfect” in any way. I am very much a flawed and sinful person, and thats why our God is so good because he doesnt see us for our mistakes and shortcomings, his is so forgiving. All of these things ARE a process and have taken me almost a year to realize and pick up on. Remember to give yourself grace, dont feel like you have to put on this perfect persona just to be excepted or seen in the christian community. My baptism is in 3 days… and let me tell you, each day it gets closer, the more spiritual warfare and temptation have started to effect me. The past two days ive broken down crying asking God “why” to certain things in my life, catching myself feeling angry at him at times. I want to be so real and transparent because following Christ is NOT going to be easy and some days its not all sunshine and rainbows. I am imperfect. The enemy KNOWS how close i am to being washed clean of my past, and how close i am to being reborn again and sacrificing everything for God, therefore, i feel more tested right now than i ever have. God has put on my heart that i dont have to act like im okay just to make him “proud” because he knows what im dealing with and he has met me EXACTLY where i am, and embraced every lost part of me. He comforts me, even when im doubting him. THAT is why im choosing to be honest about my struggles because i know im not the only one who is going through this season and THAT is why i have so much faith in my heavenly father, because he is so so good to me even when im NOT. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful community around me supporting me and just wrapping me up in prayer during this time. I have never been so ready to fully live for the Lord, and i know he will beautifully guide me through this rough patch as i step into my purpose. He deserves all the glory, so as I continue to lean on him, i pray whoever resonates with this gives themselves grace. You are exactly where you need to be, come to God exactly as who you are and allow him to move. Its okay to still struggle! Some days arent easy but man will it be worth it when everything we sacrificed here on this temporary earth is treasured and saved for us in our eternal lives, our forever home, with HIM.
