@highersciety: In 2018, Payless Shoesource pulled a crazy marketing stunt by branding a “fake” pop-up store named “Palessi” in a high-end mall in LA. The store show cased shoes typically priced around $20-$40 but listed them at mark-ups of up to $645. The goal of the event was to challenge the public’s perception on affordability in fashion. After revealing the truth, Payless refunded the purchases but allowed guests to keep the shoes. A great attempt at highlighting how branding and pricing often influence consumer perception. #Lifestyle #luxury #comedy #shoes #luxurybrand #marketing #fashion #style
