All I wanted was my protein shake from the gas station.. I was hesitant to post this video because I honestly find it a bit embarrassing, but I feel it's important to share what happened last night at the 7-Eleven gas station on North Tarrant, across from McDonald's. I’m not sure who this man is, but the situation started because my friend briefly blocked a parking spot while I grabbed my iPad from her. He was upset because he wanted to park on the left side of me instead of the right—despite there being 10 other available spots. Had he politely asked my friend and I to move, we would have done so without issue. This is purely off of anger and him not being in the right state of mind which shouldn’t excuse the fact that he put his hands on me twice and then proceeded to throw my phone afterwards. I started recording because his body language seemed aggressive, and he was already calling us nasty names. It’s truly disheartening to think that something so minor could lead to such an outburst, but I’m just grateful things didn’t get worse and that I’m okay. The world can be a really unpredictable place, and I think this situation serves as a reminder that staying calm and respectful is key, even when things don’t go as expected.
