This was my biggest problem with CFB in the past. Expecting perfection is anti football. Teams have bad weeks

That 2014-15 Ohio state grew too. Terrible loss to Virginia tech at home early. Got better and better every week and looked virtually unbeatable in the big10 championship and the playoffs

Ryan Day still needs to go even if they win the whole thing,if they win it all it's because they absolutely have the best roster left in the playoffs and a chip on their shoulder for losing to Michigan it not be because of him

What’s crazy is if it was only a 4 team playoff osu wouldn’t have made it and everyone would be calling them frauds because of one game that was a fluke

it’s funny cause we look at the nfl teams with 2 losses as amazing while 2 loss cfb teams are immediately discredited (obviously a different format but it’s interesting )

At the other school you have to beat Michigan, win the conference, and win the natty. You should not be able to win it all without doing the first 2. Shouldn’t be rewarded for losing

Because the skill discrepancy is significantly higher in CFP. The skill gaps between the best and worst NFL teams are microscopic in comparison to the skill gap between the best and worst in CFB.

I also want to say. This is a different will Howard. We are watching one of the best college football playoff QB performances ever

Yes and no, I agree slack needs to be given but you are comparing a team who has multiple draft picks losing to teams who probably have none, chiefs lost to raiders yes but they are all professionals all picked

I think it's a little different in the NFL though. Only 2% of college players make the NFL. Most of which attend the big schools. So there's no reason for the premier schools to lose to smaller ones

here's the thing. I think I'd rather have a 1-13 season as long as that win was against michigan. I'm willing to give Ryan Day 1 more chance. but that's it

People who don’t understand why they wanted Day fired don’t understand how important this rivalry game is… up until this point he has had losing records against Michigan, Top 5, and bowl games

And this is why the expanded CFP makes sense. It allows for these things to grow and the true best team to come out the other side. A 4 team Playoff has always sucked.

They should be the best team in college football. Most of their lineup should be playing on Sundays but stayed for NIL. A fan of Ohio State has never been out on a limb and it's even more true today.

He’s so right. Dynamic teams used to get penalized for losses and the cream never really had a chance to rise back to the top. Now going forward, they will
