I’m 🇦🇺 Aussie, it was a large city called Coober Pedy, it went basically apocalyptic due to the dust storms and heat. People perished and evacuated. Those left now live in underground homes.

oh that's where us Australians don't go mate, you don't wanna go there we have Spiders the size of houses there, the emus and kangaroos are all extra big and well the crocodiles and land sharks are extra vicious and people go missing often out there, that's why us Australians live in coastal towns not inland as your more than likely will die...

you know how you have the burning man festival in the middle of the dessert in nevada? yeah, Australia tried to do something similar as a one off.

Oh it’s common knowledge. That’s the roof of our underground wildlife facility where we have some of the countries best scientist working on creating genetically altered version of our most famous animals. Since the world is already scared of our wildfire we are working genetic mutations that will see them act as our defence force in the future
