Ahhh that point in the year when we start to wonder if the reno season window is still open. As of today, 100% yes it is ✅ For me in my climate (SE Vic), on my lawn, with the time, products, and resources (irrigation) I have available to me I’d happily do a full reno (scalp, scarify, core aerate, top dress) up until around mid March 💯 Should you though? Well the last thing you want is a lawn that doesn’t recover and sits crappy and dormant over winter. If you’re confident in your lawn care practices go for it, but otherwise it may be best to do a PARTIAL RENO. Choose your biggest issue and go hard at that Thick, thatchy and spongey= scalp and/or scarify Compacted, hydrophobic, dull root system= core aerate Uneven, bumpy, improving drainage or adding organic material= top dress Main keys to success are getting enough water on it to recover, using quality products, and doing some form of soil test if recovery is slow or has been in the past ✅ In some cases though if your lawn has been decimated by fungal disease, grubs, or the heat you may as well send it and hope for the best because it’ll still probably turn out better than what you’re currently looking at 😂 Important to note, on warm season lawns in warmer climates than mine your reno window is long, on cooler climates it’s shorter. Those with cool season lawns are getting bloody excited about now because prime season is just about here!!! Also, last year I did a height reset and scarify early April and by mid May my back lawn looked just about the best it ever has 🔥 #lawntok #lawncare
