Recruiter here and I would never ever rescind an offer. I always try to help explain why we are stuck there and let them decide. It’s usually equity on the team 🤷🏻♀️

Always ask the salary range BEFORE interviewing. Then compare your qualifications with the requirements for the role. If you exceed them, your salary should be at the higher end of that range.

yes always shup up...silence is the best negotiation but I'd give them a range with a bottom number that's acceptable but a higher that would make you estatic.

What do you do if they gave you the range before giving you the JD. You review the JD and the range they gave is too low based on responsibilities and market salary for similar roles.
