Anne Waiguru, the former Devolution CS, filed an affidavit in February 2016 which implicated Kibet among many other people in fraudulent tendering connected with the National Youth Service (NYS). The EACC then summoned Kibet to record a statement over this matter. He has continued to champion for national unity and love among Kenyans while he condemns tribalism. Farouk Kibet is the most feared Kenyan politician by other colleagues. The first reason is that he knows much about the influence he has near President Ruto, holding the position of the Commanding Officer for the gate of Ruto. He has the authority, besides being privy to the goings-on within the government as regards political decisions.
