Like Pompeii is so sad. They did die due to the lava like most think. Most suffocated cause of the ash in their lungs meaning they suffered a horrible death.

The casts are very interesting, sure, but once you register these were people frozen the exact what they died, scared, confused and desperately trying to protects themselves… it’s very haunting.
