@reggies_star: ‼️FAKE EVERTHING‼️ Peter, oh our dear Peter. We do we even start? Maybe at the beginning, with his mama and his papa. Maybe we start with his friends, James, Sirius, Remus. Maybe we start with Dumbledore, driving them all to madness, each in their respective ways, pushing them to their limits and maybe even a bit beyond. Maybe we start with Voldemort and his ways of working into one’s head, twisting in nasty ways like a parasite. Or maybe, maybe start with human nature. Maybe we start with the unexplainable part of the brain, the part that makes us believe in the good nature of the human species. The part of us that refuses to believe people are inherently bad. Or are they? “Are people born wicked, or do they have wickedness trust upon them?” Peter’s case is different, though. I’d like to believe he was once like them, like his friends, but somehow, something within him snapped. Peter was a good friend, once, but he believed himself to be right. He believed it was his destiny to do what he did, and once he began, he couldn’t stop. He became power hungry, he craved something more. Maybe he didn’t fully agree with the Dark Lords motives, but he believed in his morals. He believed he was put on earth to rid the world of evil. He was the messiah, the next in line. He did as he was told but only because he truly believed. He believed in a greater good and he was just doing his part. It didn’t work out of him in the end, though. He forgot his place. He was just another pawn in Voldemorts plan, after all. And our poor, poor Peter didn’t realise it in time. — Had to throw in a little wicked refrence of course.
