NTA, its not wrong to want to protect yourself but she was acting like he was already abusing her. Its not fair to treat him badly based on a hypothetical situation. Also she is wrong, “perfectly fine” men dont become abusers. There’s a very insidious pattern of control and obsession before the abuse.
