Recommend keeping new cats to a bathroom for the first day or two until they acclimate to the smells of the home & stress of the new enviro. Can transition to a bedroom for a week or so then free roam

Cats can fit through spaces a little larger than their head and are flexible little shits. My cat managed to climb into our dryer vent when we were putting in a new dryer…. Don’t rule out anything😅
