@cooknbakewithdeepa: Ingredients: 1/4 cup or 50 gm brown or white sugar Pinch or 1/8 tsp Baking Soda Steps: 1. Heat brown/white sugar in a small saucepan over low or medium-low heat. Stir continuously until all sugar dissolves. Takes around 7-8 mins. 2. Once all sugar dissolves, turn off the heat and add pinch of baking soda while stirring continuously until it stops foaming. 3. Pour into a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or heavy duty aluminum foil. Wait for 15-20 seconds. Flatten the candy with greased (any cooking oil) jar. Press the mold gently and let it cool down (only takes couple of minutes to cool down). * You can use any pan. It does not matter if it’s nonstick or not. Make sure your pan is dry though. * Do not overcook. You only need to melt sugar. We are not making Caramel. * In terms of baking soda, less is more. Only need pinch of baking soda for 1/4 cup of sugar. * if you do not have parchment paper or aluminum foil, you can use greased stainless steel plate or baking tray. * To clean the pan, you can heat water in it until all sugar dissolves. Or simply let it soak in water for few hours.
