Sometimes cockatoos bond with one person and get jealous and aggressive towards your partner or anyone around you. I fostered a cockatoo once and he would attack my mom but was sweet to me.

I had a cockatoo who was very sweet. I really loved him and studied into parrots, their body language especially. He suddenly started getting aggressive to family first out of literally nowhere. -

The 15 day hold is possibly due to a attack, if the bird bit the previous person they may have to euthanize it. My old step mom got a cockatoo when she worked at a pet shop bc someone got bit by him.
