Yes. It’s another way of your brain having a flashback. Happens with unprocessed trauma - you’re dreaming about it because your brain is trying to process it.

17 yrs since the last time I was S/Ad by a family member. I regularly get dreams at least once a month since I was 13. It’s the fackin worst.

This happens way too often to me. The worst part is explaining why you are struggling so much that day. Bonus points of destroying my mental health is when my brain changes the locations on me to places it never happened so now I have more fears.

i haven’t been before but i’ve had it happen in a dream and i was so in my head and i looked at everyone around me wherever i was to make sure they didn’t look like the person? idek who they were

I understand completely it’s soo hard. It’s definitely like re triggers PTSD it’s horrible massive hugs. Also glad your talking about it helps other know that this happens and it’s ok to go through it
