@zacharyloft: Saw 3 videos just this morning, about how this year is the next 2008. How did the 2008 housing market crash even happen? Supply and demand. Could it happen again? Maybe. The factors to make it happen would not be tough imo. Now 2027, 2028? With climbing homeowner costs in the insurance and tax world specifically, it seems it could start leaning the “crash” or “correction” direction. This year? 2025? Not seeing it.. but hey! Who really knows? #housing #finance #housingmarketcrash #housingmarket2025
I make 6 figures. I’m 30. And I’m currently house shopping. And I’ve found out that I cannot afford to buy a house lol

All the houses being built near us are not starter homes... they are very fancy and big houses. no one builds starter homes anymore.

Too many houses are being turned into rented or vacation homes. People would rather air bnb or rent and have a forever income than sell and too many people are stuck renting

I wish everyone who gets along with their parents would move back home, and friends moved in together so some of these homes & apartments would just sit & rot. When people stop paying the prices

yes but stacking homes can lead to horrible bankrupt. my aunt bought one house, then she bought the home next door, then bought house nextdoor to that. she couldn't afford to pay the mortgages on her

I work in mortgage. Home prices have doubled and tripled in the last 5-6 years. In our market the average 1st time homebuyer is 38. Second home is 64.

Are you still sticking with this outlook after what’s happened lately? Federal jobs loss, HUD staff and budget cuts, etc.

Airbnb/VRBO keep the houses "in demand" by keeping homes empty, but off the market.

Sellers won’t sell unless they’re going into something new with lower interest rate than current. I have 3.0 right now so why would I sell to go in at 6.8. Lack of supply ✌️

There are homes being built but they’re simply not affordable. You need at least $500 grand and up to afford a decent home.
